About Colleen
Colleen is a compassionate and energetic therapist who has special interest in treating those who have struggles related to identity, self esteem, body image, life transitions, anxiety and depression related disorders.
Colleen’s passion is guiding clients to true and lasting recovery from the barriers in their lives that have prevented them from leading a full and meaningful life. Colleen loves to get creative in the way she approaches work with a client including implementing family therapy, and experiential therapies in order to target real life experiences as they pertain to the recovery process.
The vast majority of Colleen’s training and experience has been in treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, addiction and eating disorders, at various levels of care (Residential, partial hospitalization, intensive out patient) which allows her to work effectively with any situation.
Colleen takes a relational, person centered and strengths based approach in working with clients. She believes by working with clients to uncover the root function of behaviors they’re struggling with it is possible to discover a more adaptive way to manage life’s stress, and in turn live a full and value based life.
Colleen is trained in a variety of treatment modalities and utilizes CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, ACT, and ERP among other things with her clients. In addition to this, Colleen is an expert in the treatment of eating disorders.
