About Meagan
Meagan (she/they) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has had the privilege of working with clients of all different backgrounds at both the residential and outpatient level of care. She prioritizes creating a safe and inviting space for individuals to begin their healing journey and is grateful to have the opportunity to help individuals explore how pieces from our past can continue to impact us as we continue to get older.
Her areas of expertise include eating disorders, ADHD, trauma, gender and sexuality concerns, body image concerns, mood disorders, anxiety, couples therapy, and family therapy. Meagan grew up an athlete and is recovered from an eating disorder herself. She feels very grateful to be able to use that part of her story to help others find their own recovery.
Meagan strongly believes in taking an individualized and empathic approach in order to empower individuals as they strive to meet their goals, as well as to ensure they feel supported and heard. She has acquired training in treating individuals with ADHD, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EEFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In addition, Meagan has as trained therapy dog named Theodora that accompanies her on occasion in sessions to provide a sense of comfort and support.
In her spare time, Meagan enjoys spending time with her partner and their three dogs, traveling, exploring outdoors, and cooking.
